SO HOW DOES ACUPUNCTURE WORK?

Einstein showed us that everything is made of and radiates, energy. This subtle form of energy supports, shapes and enlivens our physical body and activates our lives. For the past 5,000 years, practitioners of Chinese medicine have called this intelligent energy, Qi.

In Chinese Medicine Meridians are the channels in our body where Qi flows, much like a river, which brings water to sustain life on earth, meridians carry Qi to sustain our lives on the cellular level. Meridians are also where our acupuncture points are located. Like an ettie on a river, acupuncture points are places were Qi gathers and is accessible from the surface. There are over 370 main acupuncture points and hundreds of additional extra points.

Qi is just one of the Vital substances in our bodies that Chinese Medical practitioners assess in order to make a proper Chinese Medical Diagnosis. We assess the state of the Blood, body fluids and essence as well as the health of the internal Organs. We do this by employing what we call the 4 examinations: Looking, Smelling, Listening, Questioning and Palpation.
